China's economic growth slowed in the second quarter amid COVID-19 lockdowns.
Gross domestic product in the quarter was up 0.4% from a year earlier. Besides a 6.9% drop in first-quarter 2020 due to the initial COVID-19 wave, that's the worst showing since the data series began in 1992.
Analysts expected a 1% increase.
