China summons Apple over live-streaming apps

Chinese internet regulators issued a summons against Apple to tighten its standards for iOS apps in the country.

Regulators say Apple has allowed three streaming services — Toutiao.com, Huoshanzhibo.com and Huajiao.com — to “violate four different regulations concerning internet information services.”

The apps are being criticized for issues managing content, user classification and identity verification.
