China apologizes for reprimanding doctor who warned of COVID-19

China exonerated a doctor who was reprimanded for warning others about the impending spread of the coronavirus.

Dr. Li Wenliang and seven colleagues were reprimanded in December for telling friends about the virus threat on social media. He later died of the virus.

The ruling Community's Party's top disciplinary body issued a "solemn apology" to Dr. Li's family in a rare admission of error.
