Fifteen children in New York City recently have been hospitalized with a mysterious syndrome that could be linked to COVID-19.
Many of the children, ages 2 to 15, had the coronavirus.
The children have shown symptoms associated with toxic shock or Kawasaki disease, a rare illness in children that involves inflammation of the blood vessels.
Similar cases have started to appear in European countries hit hard by the coronavirus.
