Chiefs reveal $800M renovation plan

The Kansas Chief Chiefs on Wednesday revealed $800 million renovation plans for Arrowhead Stadium.

Pending the exit of the Kansas City Royals, the nearby Kauffman Stadium would be demolished to make way for tailgate areas and covered entertainment space. Seating changes at Arrowhead also are contained in the plans.

The project would start in 2027 at the earliest and wrap in 2030 or 2031.
