Chiefs' Hunt Jr. working to revitalize downtown KC

Loretto Properties LLC, a real estate development firm owned by Lamar Hunt Jr. – a member of the founding family of the Kansas City Chiefs – has launched efforts to help revitalize downtown Kansas City, Kan.

The firm started renovations on the 20,000-square-foot Minnesota Avenue building that it purchased earlier this year, and it has reached an agreement to acquire an adjacent 30,000-square-foot structure.

A spokesman for the company told the Kansas City Business Journal the business intends to spend $1.5 million restoring the vacant buildings.
