Chiefs establish variable ticket-pricing system

Posted online
The Kansas City Chiefs are changing their ticket-pricing structure and basing the cost of single-game tickets on the demand it anticipates for individual games.

With the new variable-pricing system in place, the Chiefs' Sept. 29 Monday Night Football game against the New England Patriots will be the most expensive in the 2014 season, with prices ranging from $60 to $320. The lowest-priced game will come against the San Diego Chargers, with tickets costing between $40 and $285.

The system, which only affects single-game tickets, is designed to create an incentive to boost season-ticket sales, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.
