Chick-fil-A announced plans to shutter a restaurant in the United Kingdom about 10 days after it opened.
The Reading restaurant immediately faced protests over the fast-food company's donations to anti-LGBTQ groups.
A spokesperson for The Oracle shopping center said "the right thing to do" was to not extend the restaurant's lease beyond a "six-month pilot period".
The protests followed Chick-fil-A's donations to Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Paul Anderson Youth Home and the Salvation Army.
