Chicago Stock Exchange CEO exits after purchase by NYSE

Following the New York Stock Exchange’s purchase earlier this year of the Chicago Stock Exchange, the latter company’s CEO has exited.

John Kerin told Bloomberg he was treated fairly by the new owners, the Intercontinental Exchange Inc. His last day was July 21.

“I wish the ICE and the New York Stock Exchange and the employees that remain the very best,” Kerin said.

ICE, the owner of the NYSE, also fired some 12 employees at the Chicago exchange.
