Chicago Police Department superintendent to retire

Eddie Johnson, superintendent for the Chicago Police Department, announced plans to retire at year's end.

Former Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck is expected to take on the role on an interim basis.

Beck is expected to serve as a formal search for a full-time replacement is conducted.
