Chicago fintech CEO killed in car crash

Judson Bergman, chairman and CEO of Chicago financial technology firm Envestnet, died last week in a San Francisco car crash.

Bergman, his wife, their taxi driver and the driver of a car headed in the wrong direction all died at the scene on Thursday.

Bergman is said to have fueled a wave of independent financial advisers after founding Envestnet in 1999. The publicly traded company provides wealth management technology and products.
