Chevron Corp. is offering buyouts to reduce its oil exploration and production team in the United States, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
The No. 2 U.S. oil producer, Chevron employed 24,500 workers domestically at the end of 2019. Its global workforce is 48,200.
Chevron reported a quarterly loss to end 2019 on a $10.4 billion impairment charge.
