Jim Wehr of Wehr Properties owns this inaugural project for recently started Wehr Construction Company. Wehr employee Gray Thomas is superintendent for the project. Sapp Design is architect and Mettemeyer Engineering is engineer. The lender for the approximately $1 million project is Signature Bank. With a target completion date of April, this structure on approximately two acres already has two tenants, a Fast N Friendly convenience store and gas station and Ye Olde Buggy Bath Car Wash. Also included will be three retail boxes of about 1,200 square feet each. "We're hoping to get some food place in there because I know a lot of the city people and post office workers don't really have anywhere to go," said Emily Wehr. Other tenant possibilities might include a UPS store, she said.
