Chesterfield Village fills McGuffey’s vacancy

Posted online
Chesterfield Village has secured a tenant for a 7,250-square-foot space that sat empty for more than a year.

Prima’s Mexican Grill has leased the space, 2101 W. Chesterfield Blvd., formerly occupied by McGuffey’s restaurant, which closed in December 2004.

The restaurant is scheduled to open for business in early June, according to Wilhoit Properties broker Teresa Schwab. She would not disclose a lease rate.

Prima’s owner Martin Hernandez previously owned LaMexican Kitchen in Sheid’s Plaza and has two other Prima’s locations, in Rolla and West Plains.

“We’re excited about locating in southwest Springfield, where growth has been so explosive and there is a lack of authentic Mexican restaurants,” Hernandez said in a news release.

The restaurant will feature a full-service menu specializing in authentic Mexican food. Lunch and dinner will be served along with a selection of beer, margaritas, wines and liquors.[[In-content Ad]]
