Cowherd Construction Company is general contractor for this multi-phase project owned by Jim, Judy, Trent and Sharon Cowherd. The first phase of the project, which comprises five buildings, opened in late October. H Design Group is architect and HBH Engineers is engineer. The total square footage of the project is 132,000; the first phase is 41,000 square feet. Situated on eight acres, Chesterfield Self Storage offers rental storage units for boats, household goods and other items, and climate-controlled units are available. Rental fees range from $18 to $140 per month. The total project cost, including the price of the land, is about $4.6 million, according to Trent Cowherd. As for the rest of the buildings, Cowherd said, "I hope to be able to start those just right at the first of the year. We just need to get some of these occupied and make sure we're doing what our client base is wanting size-wise and just see where the demand is, and we should start Phase II right at the first of the year."
