Charter invests in the cloud with $135M acquisition

Charter Communication teamed up with Arris Group Inc. to acquire ActiveVideo for approximately $135 million, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

Operator of the CloudTV platform, ActiveVideo delivers online content, user interfaces and interactive TV advertising via the cloud.

Arris will own 65 percent of the joint venture, with Charter picking up the remaining 35 percent.
