Charter Communications to phase out Time Warner name

Charter Communications Inc.’s $55.1 billion acquisition of Time Warner Cable Inc. will result in the latter's name being phased out over time, a spokesman told Bloomberg.

The purchase is expected to close today, according to the report.

Time Warner had the worst customer-service score in any industry in the 2015 American Customer Satisfaction Index.
