The Charlotte City Council in North Carolina voted to approve an $800 million renovation plan for the stadium that houses NFL team the Panthers.
Plans call for the city to pay for $650 million of the renovation of Bank of America Stadium. Panthers owner David Tepper will keep the team in Charlotte through 2045 and pay the remaining $150 million.
Improvements, including upgraded video and audio systems and modernized infrastructure, are slated for completion by 2029.
