Charles Schwab is implementing a series of cost-cutting measures.
The company announced it would conduct layoffs and close or downsize some of its corporate offices. The number of layoffs and offices impacted were not disclosed.
A securities filing indicates the moves are "directly related to the integration of TD Ameritrade," which Schwab acquired in 2020.
