Chan Zuckerberg Initiative making first acquisition

The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative is purchasing Meta as its first acquisition.

Mark Zuckerberg’s philanthropic organization is buying the website that makes it easier for scientists to find the latest academic research for an undisclosed price.

Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan have pledged to invest over $3 billion during the next decade on working to cure diseases.
