Anderson has served on the commission since 2001. The six-member group governs the Missouri Department of Transportation, which has more than 6,000 employees and an annual budget of more than $2 billion.
“I’m looking forward to taking my turn at leading the commission,” Anderson said in a MoDOT news release. “The commission has a big responsibility – making sure Missourians have a quality transportation system – and I intend to keep things moving in the right direction.”
Duane Michie, of Hayti, will serve as vice-chair of the commission. He and Anderson replace Bill McKenna, of Crystal City, and Marge Schramm, of Kirkwood, both of whom will remain on the commission until Gov. Matt Blunt replaces them.[[In-content Ad]]
