Chamber reveals small-business award finalists

The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce this morning named five finalists for its annual Small Business Award.

Announced during the chamber’s Good Morning, Springfield event at The Old Glass Place downtown, the finalists are:
    •    Club Management Services LLC, which handles administration functions for professional clubs and associations;
    •    Interactive Dynamics, a technology services subsidiary of Strafford manufacturer American Products that formed through the consolidation of The App Pros LLC, DustShield LLC and Phoenix Kiosk;
    •    Lew’s Fishing Tackle, a seller of reels, rods and other fishing gear;
    •    Q & Co. LLC, a general contractor for industries including retail, health care, manufacturing and government; and
    •    Revel Advertising, an advertising and marketing strategy firm.

The winner is scheduled to be announced May 4 at the Ramada Plaza Hotel and Oasis Convention Center.

Finalists for the award are chosen by an independent panel of judges based on written applications comprising essays on company history, business or management philosophy, response to challenges, innovative products or services, and community contributions.

Last year, All About Trees LLC won the award.
