Chamber reveals Manufacturer of the Year finalists

The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce today announced three finalists for the 2008 Manufacturer of the Year award.
The finalists are:
Aire-Master of America Inc., a Nixa-based company with 74 franchises nationwide that manufactures odor-control and cleaner products, as well as contract packaging;
Positronic Industries Inc., a Springfield-based, vertically integrated connector supplier offering in-house manufacturing and engineering; and
Snap Lock Inc., a Battlefield-based custom metal fabrication shop that manufactures a line of pre-engineered sanitary modular conveyor systems.
Nominees were evaluated by an independent panel of judges on factors including business stability and growth; employee development; product development and sustainability; environmental, health and safety performance; and community involvement, according to a chamber news release.
The 2008 honoree will be named at a Dec. 10 luncheon at University Plaza Hotel. Register online at www.springfieldchamber.com.
Past honorees are Jarden Plastic Solutions, Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Co., Edmonds Dental Prosthetics, Megavolt LLC, 3M Co., ReGen Technologies, The Maiman Co., Kraft Foods, Northrop Grumman Interconnect, Hiland Dairy Co., Hagale Industries, SMC Packaging Group and Aaron's Automotive Products.
