Chamber names manufacturing award finalists

The honoree will be chosen from Edmonds Dental Prosthetics Inc., Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Co. and Tuthill Vacuum & Blower Systems. The winner will receive the award at a noon luncheon Dec. 14 at University Plaza Hotel, 333 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway.

Seven nominees were evaluated for their business stability and growth, employee development, product development and sustainability, environmental and health performance, safety and community involvement.

A panel of judges visited the facilities of each nominee to experience the manufacturing process before choosing the finalists.

A large sector of the local work force is in manufacturing – more than 27,000 workers are employed at manufacturing companies.
