Finalists for the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce's W. Curtis Strube Small Business Award have been narrowed to five area businesses.

The finalists, determined by written applications scored by an independent panel of judges, are:
  • Intuitive Web Solutions LLC;
  • J. Howard Fisk Limousines Inc.;
  • Ozarks Food Harvest Inc.;
  • Pension Consultants Inc.; and
  • Pinnacle Sign Group Inc.
The award, presented by the chamber's small-business council, will be announced during the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce's May 4 annual awards luncheon at Doubletree Hotel, 2431 N. Glenstone Ave.

To determine finalists for the award, the independent judges reviewed applications consisting of written essays covering company history, business or management philosophy, challenges, products or services offered, and community contributions, the release said.

To register to attend the event, visit the chamber's Web site.

Corporate Business Systems was awarded the honor in 2010, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.
