The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce has announced seven candidates under consideration to serve on its board of directors.
Following a nomination period last month, the organization’s Directors Nominating Committee submitted the slate of candidates for review to three-year terms on the chamber board beginning in January 2024, according to a news release.
Nominees are:
• Sean Balisle, KPM CPAs & Advisors.
• Spencer Cunningham, SRC Heavy Duty.
• Jason England, Arvest Bank.
• Spencer Harris, Mostly Serious LLC and Habitat Communication & Culture.
• Michael Payne, Springfield Sign.
• Krystal Simon, Care to Learn.
• Elizabeth Wente, Spencer Fane LLP.
Harris and Wente are the lone nominees already serving on the board, according to the chamber’s website.
Chamber members can nominate additional candidates by noon on Oct. 15. If no other candidates are nominated, the seven people submitted by the committee will be installed on the board.
The chamber’s board comprises roughly 30 members, according to its website.
