CFO senior VP named among top philanthropists

Posted online
The NonProfit Times named Michael Chatman, Community Foundation of the Ozarks' senior vice president of philanthropy, among its Top 50 Power & Influence philanthropists for 2014.

Hired by CFO in March 2012, the former Missouri State University football standout was published in the Aug. 1 list recognizing philanthropists from a variety of foundations and nonprofits who have ideas and innovating thinking that contribute to a more civil society, according to a news release.

"Whether it’s through CFO’s 45 affiliate regional foundations, his own foundation, celebrity connections or his more than 340,000 Twitter followers, Chatman is just about everywhere. He is a social media influencer in philanthropy," The NonProfit Times writes.

Through his Twitter handle, @MichaelChatman, the CFO executive hosts #WhyIGive, designed to inspire people to share messages of their own philanthropic endeavors on the social media website.

“We are delighted to see Michael recognized for his work here, as well as his involvement in these other aspects of philanthropy that all contribute to building a stronger culture of generosity,” CFO President Brian Fogle said in the release.[[In-content Ad]]
