CFO of struggling RadioShack resigns

Posted online
Struggling electronics retailer RadioShack Corp, which is teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, said John Feray resigned as chief financial officer last week.

Feray cited personal reasons for his resignation, which comes after he joined the company in January from Dollar General Corp., according to Reuters.

The company said on Monday it named AlixPartners LLP managing director Holly Etlin as interim CFO. Advisory firm AlixPartners has been helping RadioShack with its turnaround since July 2013.

Last week, RadioShack officials said the company may have to file for bankruptcy protection if its situation worsens and if other options, such as debt restructuring, cost cuts, a sale or capital infusion, are unsuccessful.
