Community Foundation of the Ozarks has named three businesspeople to its board of directors for 2013-14 and selected the members comprising its executive committee.
According to a news release, the elected members are:
- Ron Penney, principal with Penney, Murray & Associates, a Springfield-based private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services Inc.;
- Gary Powell, managing partner for Husch Blackwell LLP's Springfield law office and past-president of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association; and
- Robin Walker, managing partner for Walnut Capital Management, an independent wealth management firm affiliated with SignalPoint Asset Management.
Serving CFO's 21-member board, the 2013-14 executive committee comprises:
- Chairwoman Gloria Galanes, dean of Missouri State University's College of Arts and Letters;
- Vice Chairman Richard Cavendar, of Rolla, retired director of the Meramec Regional Planning Commission;
- Treasurer Shari Hoffman, senior wealth manager at BKD Wealth Advisors;
- Secretary Roger "Dusty" Shaw, a rancher in Thomasville; and
- Chairwoman-Emeritus Jill Reynolds, vice president at The Commerce Trust Co.
At-large members are Karren Miller, a retired Ozark teacher; Mark Nelson, wealth management adviser at Merrill Lynch in Springfield and chairman of the CFO Investment Advisory Board; and Jami Peebles, senior vice president of Central Trust & Investment Co., according to the release.
