Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc. presented $120,000 in diversity, equity and inclusion grants to 10 nonprofits.
The funding issued yesterday at the Library Center is designed to improve the quality of life for underserved and underrepresented communities in central and southern Missouri, according to a news release.
The grant recipients are as follows:
• American Indian Center of Springfield, $10,000
• Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri, $6,457
• Drew Lewis Foundation Inc., $20,000
• EnCompass Academy, $20,675
• Friends of Abilities First, $11,653
• Leadership Springfield, $6,225
• Missouri State University, $18,490
• PFLAG Springfield, $6,500
• Springfield-Greene County Public Library Foundation, $10,000
• The Rolla Mission, $10,000
“At the CFO, we strive to address the barriers and disparities in access that so many people face every day,” said Winter Kinne, CFO president and CEO, in the release. “That is our commitment, and the grants we celebrate today are an important part of that effort.”
