Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc. has filled a recently vacated vice president role.
Ashley Walden is scheduled to start Feb. 18 as the nonprofit's vice president of community impact, according to a news release. Bridget Dierks, who previously held the role, started in January as the Springfield-Greene County Library District's director of institutional advancement.
In the job, Walden will oversee CFO's grantmaking and scholarship programs.
“It is an honor to join the fantastic team at the CFO in my dream job,” Walden said in the release. “I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to use my strengths and talents to make a meaningful impact in communities across our region.”
Walden's nonprofit career experience includes serving as senior development officer of the Mercy Health Foundation – where she most recently worked, as well as executive director of Springfield Ballet Inc. and director of operations for United Way of the Ozarks.
“Ashley has a deep understanding of our community’s needs and a track record of creating lasting impact for the organizations she has served,” said Winter Kinne, CFO's president and CEO, in the release. "We look forward to working with Ashley as she leads our effort to turn the generosity of so many into the transformational work of philanthropy."
