Posted online

Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc. added its third new affiliate of 2020.

The Cabool Community Foundation raised the CFO-required minimum of $30,000 to start a permanent endowment and become the 52nd regional affiliate of the Springfield-based nonprofit, according to a news release. The Missouri Foundation for Health will match the funding, which will be used for grantmaking that addresses public health needs related to family income, education, jobs and neighborhoods.

“For more than 25 years, our affiliates have helped improve the quality of life in communities all across our region,” said Brian Fogle, president and CEO of CFO, in the release. “The Cabool Community Foundation will further increase the power of philanthropy in south-central Missouri where a number of communities are represented by our affiliate network members who have done great work to enhance their local priorities.”

CCF joins the Nevada/Vernon County Community Foundation and the Ash Grove Area Community Foundation to become CFO affiliates this year, according to past reporting.

CFO's affiliate program dates back to 1993 with the establishment of the Nixa Community Foundation, which now has $2.4 million in assets and has distributed more than $2.8 million to its community, according to the release.
