New Hope, a nonprofit support group for women with gynecological cancer, received a grant from Community Foundation of the Ozarks and funding from St. John's Foundation for Community Health for an awareness campaign about Human Papilloma Virus, a sexually transmitted disease that is linked to cervical cancer. In addition to New Hope and Show-Me Healthy Women, there are seven other organizations involved in the campaign: Ozarks Area Community Action Corp., Jordan Valley Health Clinic, Planned Parenthood, Pregnancy Care Center, American Cancer Society, St. John's Clinic-Women's Oncology/St. John's Cancer Center and CoxHealth's The Women's Center.
