Cerner ups job creation total for Kansas City development

The biggest job-creating project in Kansas City history just got bigger.

Cerner Corp.'s development of Three Trails Campus in south Kansas City will result in 16,000 new employees between 2017 and 2015. That's up 1,000 from previously reported, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

In September, the campus' construction and interest cost was estimated at about $4.3 billion. The city and state subsequently approved $1.635 billion in public support for the project.
