Kansas City-based health care information technology company Cerner reported on Thursday its net earnings climbed by 14.2 percent to $129 million in the three months that ended June 28, from $112.9 million during the same period last year.
Revenue increased during the quarter by 20 percent to $851.8 million, according to the Kansas City Star.
As many health care systems make upgrades to their patient records and billing systems, orders for Cerner products and services jumped by 15 percent in the quarter to $1.08 billion – the second best quarter in its history.
