Cerner Corp. executive Amanda Adkins exited the health care information technology firm after losing her bid for the U.S. House.
Adkins, the company's vice president of strategic growth, took a leave of absence in January 2020 as she sought to unseat Rep. Sharice Davids, D-Kansas. Adkins lost the election in November.
Adkins said it was her decision to leave Cerner in an interview with The Kansas City Star. She declined to discuss future political plans.
