Phone and internet provider CenturyLink agreed to a $550,000 settlement with the Federal Communications Commission.
The settlement came after allegations that CenturyLink engaged in the so-called practice of cramming, or adding unauthorized third-party charges to customer bills.
CenturyLink yesterday announced a partnership with City Utilities of Springfield to offer gigabit internet service in the Queen City.
