Central Trust and Investment names new vice president

Central Trust and Investment Co., an affiliate of Empire Bank, has hired a new vice president and portfolio manager for its Springfield office.

Jim Lumpe is responsible for managing the investment portfolios of Central Trust clients, according to a news release. He brings 16 years of experience and previously served in similar positions at Edward Jones & Co., Bank of America and AG Edwards.

Jefferson City-based Central Trust recently turned its focus on the Springfield market and in March added a senior vice president position when it hired Jami Peebles. The company is a division of Central Bancompany, which also operates Empire Bank and Ozark Mountain Bank. The Springfield office is located in the Empire Bank branch at 3333 S. National Ave. and has seven employees.

Central Trust manages more than $2.8 billion in client assets.[[In-content Ad]]
