Jefferson City-based Central Bancompany Inc. (Nasdaq: CBC) today posted its first quarterly report since its initial public offering on the Nasdaq.
The company, which does business as The Central Trust Bank and operates a dozen Springfield branches, reported fourth-quarter net income of $107.6 million, a 73.9% increase from $61.9 million in the same quarter of 2024, according to a news release. Diluted share earnings rose to 47 cents from 28 cents per share.
Profits for the full year were $390.9 million, a 27.8% jump from $305.8 million in 2024.
"We are pleased to announce record profitability in 2025, as our employees continued to deliver for our customers, our communities and our shareholders," Central Bancompany President and CEO John “JR” Ross said in the release. "The drivers of our financial performance were broad-based, reflecting efforts across our organizations and in all our markets."
Central Bancompany raised roughly $373 million in its Nasdaq IPO in November, valuing the company at roughly $5 billion, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.
As of Dec. 31, Central Bancompany's assets were $20.8 billion and deposits were $15.9 billion, according to the release.
CBC shares were trading at $24.84 as of 11:17 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $22.50 to $25.42 per share.
