St. Louis-based Centene Corp. has landed a state Medicaid contract that's worth up to $5 billion.
Centene subsidiary Nebraska Total Care is one of three health plans chosen to serve the state's Medicaid managed care program.
"We are pleased to continue our partnership with the state to help build a healthier Nebraska," said Brent Layton, Centene's president and chief operating officer.
