St. Louis-based managed care company Centene is planning a round of layoffs.
Some 2,000 employees are slated to be reduced from the company's workforce, according to media reports.
"Our decision was not made lightly and impacts approximately 2,000 employees, just over 3% of our workforce. Centene will support impacted employees with severance packages and outplacement services, consistent with our standard approach," a company spokesperson said.
