Health care insurance company Centene put its Missouri campus expansion plans on hold due to crime rates in the St. Louis area.
The company in 2016 entered an agreement with the city of Clayton, calling for construction to start by the end of this year in exchange for millions of dollars of property tax abatement.
Centene this year announced it would develop a $1 billion East Coast headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.
