Michael Neidorff announced his retirement as CEO of St. Louis managed health care provider Centene Corp.
Neidorff plans to retire from the role next year, after which he'll serve as the company's executive chair until the end of 2022.
Neidorff's retirement notice came as Centene reached a cooperation agreement with Politan Capital Management, a hedge fund that owns a roughly $900 million stake in the St. Louis business. Centene additionally announced plans for five new board members.
