When the Branson park opens for the season on April 18, visitors will be able to experience the new $2 million Roaring Falls attraction.
The ride takes 20-person boats through winding water rapids and then up five stories before dropping them at a 55-degree angle.
“It soaks everyone,” Celebration City’s General Manager John Fitzgibbons said.
Also new this year at the park is “The Ultimate Dog Show,” featuring Lou Mack and his Frisbee-catching dogs, and “Extreme Parrots,” a performance by exotic birds that sing, fly and talk.
The park will end every night with a special effects show called “Ignite the Night.” The $3 million show celebrating America includes pyrotechnics, water cannons, video projections and other effects.
Celebration City has more than 30 rides and attractions. It is part of Silver Dollar City Attractions.
See SBJ’s March 24 issue for more on what to expect at Silver Dollar City parks this year and for a look at what the attraction did in the off season.
