The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention eased its warnings for cruises from the highest level that led to a sailing hiatus and recommended only fully vaccinated people take trips when sailings resume in a few days.
Additionally, the CDC also recommended travelers get tested 1 to 3 days before their trips and 3 to 5 days after they end.
The previous warning – at level 4, the highest – recommended travelers avoid cruise ships entirely. The CDC’s lowering it to level 3 indicates “high” risk.
