As a partner at Haden, Cowherd & Bullock LLC, I have tried more than 100 bench trials and 25 jury trials. I specialize in real estate litigation and medical malpractice defense. Of the 19 medical practice cases I have successfully defended, nine were reported as top verdicts in Missouri Lawyers Weekly.
I believe strong leadership goes well beyond just doing my job to the best of my ability. It also requires being active in professional organizations and my community. I have served in multiple leadership roles for the Springfield Metropolitan Bar and the Missouri Bar. I have served on multiple Community Boards including the Ozarks Regional YMCA, The American Red Cross and Minorities in Business.
Civic engagement is also key to being a strong leader and I am routinely involved with groups at Missouri State University. These volunteer opportunities allow me to interact with students and faculty to discuss challenges that face the university in the promotion of diversity and inclusion in our community.
It was an honor to be included amongst the distinguished list of lawyers who have earned the Lon O. Hocker Award. I was proud to receive Missouri Lawyers Weekly Women’s Justice Award-Rising Star in 2004, Second Winningest Defense Lawyer in 2010 and the Diversity and Inclusion Award in 2021. Martindale-Hubell hononored me in 2013 with the Client Distinction Award. Recently, I was named one of SBJ’s Most influential Women in 2020.
April 7 was the official opening day for Mexican-Italian fusion restaurant Show Me Chuy after a soft launch that started March 31; marketing agency AdZen debuted; and the Almighty Sando Shop opened a brick-and-mortar space.
