Billionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson died Monday from complications of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He was 87.
Adelson, whose net worth was estimated by Forbes to be around $33 billion, owned Las Vegas Sands. He grew the company into a global resort brand, with properties in the United States and Asia.
Adelson also was a Republican Party megadonor, giving tens of millions of dollars to candidates.
