Carthage Public Library Expansion

R.E. Smith Construction is the general contractor for the expansion of and renovations to Carthage Public Library. Gould Evans Associates is the architect for the project. Engineers are Henderson Engineering Inc., civil and mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and Bob D. Campbell & Co., structural. The 13,732-square-foot project has an estimated construction cost of $3.7 million, plus $1 million for furnishings.

Phase I, which comprises the addition, is to be finished in January. Phase II comprises renovations of the original library, which will adjoin the new structure, and is scheduled for completion in July.
