Carson, Fiorina announce 2016 presidential bids

The GOP presidential field grew by two Monday as retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and former technology executive Carly Fiorina both announced they are running for president.

Former Hewlett-Packard Co. CEO Fiorina confirmed her widely expected run.

According to Fox News, Carson yesterday told an Ohio TV station of his intention to seek the presidency ahead of an official campaign launch event in his hometown of Detroit scheduled today.
