'Cars 3' speeds to No. 1 at box office

The third installment of Disney and Pixar's "Cars" franchise took the top spot at the box office over the weekend.

The movie opened to $53.5 million.

"Wonder Woman" was knocked down to second place with $40.8 million, bringing its domestic total to $274.6 million.
